    Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, our real estate market is thriving. What does the home valuation process look like for sellers, though? Here’s a quick rundown of how I’m working with homeowners. 


    First, I ask the homeowner a series of questions about their house and then formulate a detailed report that includes information from the city, a Zillow valuation, a few really good neighborhood comps, and other data. 


    After I look at the home, I’ll then include my estimation in the report. I’ve sold several homes this year whose final sale price was above the original valuation. These homes also generated multiple offers, and we didn’t have any problems with appraisals either.

    There are many reasons why people choose to buy a home, but there are three specific reasons why they often don’t:

    1. They don’t know what the process looks like. Many buyers don’t know what it actually takes to get into a new home and are intimidated by the many steps involved, so they just decide to continue renting.
